Charge stored cards

Charge a customer’s saved card for extra time or add-ons, without chasing an invoice

Can I charge a customer after their session has finished?

Yes. If a customer paid by card, that card is stored securely against their account and you can charge it for extra time, add-ons or a full booking with one click.

When a customer pays for a booking by card, that card is stored securely against their account. From then on you can charge it again from the booking screen without asking them for their details a second time.

What you can charge for

  • Extended sessions that run over the booked time
  • Add-ons requested during the session, the kind of thing that usually gets settled in cash
  • Small balance adjustments between band members
  • A full booking, where a regular customer books by phone and you take payment on their behalf

How it works

Open the booking, choose to charge the stored card, and enter the amount. The customer is charged immediately and receives a receipt by email. The payment appears against the booking in Jammed, so your reporting stays accurate and you are not reconciling cash at the end of the week.

Regular bookings

Stored cards also make regular bookings much less work. When you assign a regular booking to a customer who has a card on file, you get the option to charge them before each session, rather than chasing a regular for payment week after week.

Security

Jammed never sees or stores full card numbers. Cards are held by Stripe under their own security accreditation, and Jammed holds only a reference to them. Customers can remove a stored card from their account at any time.
