A lot of studios sell more than room time. Strings, sticks, batteries, chocolate, soft drinks (maybe hard ones too)… all the little things that keep a session going. Until now you've had to handle those sales somewhere else. Jammed Shop is a complete point of sale system, fully integrated with Stripe.
The best part: it's included without additional payment for all Jammed accounts!
The shop is separate from bookings, so you can ring up any items or take an ad-hoc payment for any amount. Customers can pay by card, mobile wallet, WeChat Pay, QR code and other local payment methods. In-person card payments run through Stripe Terminal and often have a smaller fee than online, due to the reduction in fraud rates. In the USA it's 2.7% + 5c, instead of 2.9% + 20c. In the UK it's 1.4% + 10p, instead of 1.5% + 20p online.
Every item you sell is tracked. You can do manual stock takes, see stock movement reports, and report on all the items and baskets that have gone through the system. You'll know exactly what's selling and what's sitting on the shelf.
We've now given you the ability to ask for tips from customers when paying with the Terminal - by default there's a smart threshold of $10, under this we ask for fixed amounts of $1, $2, $3 (or your currency), over this and it switches to percentages of 5%, 10%, 15%. These amounts and rates are fully customizable, and you can also opt-out of asking for tips entirely if you wish.
We understand that selling some items will attract taxes, and some won't - or you'll need a different tax rate for some items. We give you full control over this.
You can setup a new tax rate in the payment settings, and then apply this to items that need a different rate - or apply nil tax, if the item shouldn't have taxes applied. The customer sees one tax amount when they pay, and automatically receives a receipt email after they pay that's fully compliant with all laws in your country - each item's tax amount is itemized.
Bands settling in for a long rehearsal don't want to tap their card every time they grab a drink. With tabs, customers can add items as they go and pay for everything at once at the end of the day, or even across multiple days at the end of their rehearsal session. You can name the tab or set it as the room name - when they leave, you then bring up their entire cart with two clicks.
The shop is available as a beta test today. If you'd like to try it, get in touch and we'll switch it on for you.
